Italian Baking - Remixed
Altamura Bakehouse began with a simple ambition: to bring the soul of Puglia’s celebrated baking culture to London. Altamura, a small town in Southern Italy, is known for bread, focaccia and brioche shaped by craft, precision and rituals handed down through generations. The founders, two friends from Puglia now living in London, wanted a brand that respected this heritage while speaking to Shoreditch’s design-savvy, food-obsessed community.
Our brand idea, Italian baking remixed, became the principle that guided every decision. It allowed us to hold onto the depth of tradition while presenting it in a way that feels relevant to the present. At the centre of the identity sits a symbol inspired by the wood fired oven. Reduced to a clear geometric form, it becomes a sign of creativity, experimentation and unmistakable Italian spirit.
From this foundation, the visual world expands through an ingredient led colour palette, playful dough forms, expressive photography and a tone of voice full of baking wit.
Like good bread, the identity balances precision with soul. Every element contributes with intention, forming a brand that stands apart with quiet character and a genuine sense of joy that leaves you wanting more.
